Vision systems

The industrial vision system includes all applications that use cameras, intelligent sensors and software algorithms to capture real images and process them in order to provide the production line with information needed for automation or quality control. The system ensures the highest production efficiency and quality by being able to make 100% objective and repetitive visual inspection with no error margin
Tekna Automazione e Controllo can design, install and program vision systems suitable for different customer requirements, identifying the best solution between 2D, 3D, monochrome or color vision. 1D and 2D readers, matrix cameras, linear cameras, profilometers and more are the most popular options on the market for developing vision machine applications.

We use in our applications a wide range of cameras (linear, matrix, 3D and smart cameras) with different technical performances and from different manufacturers, which together with lenses, led lighting solutions, illuminators and accessories constitute the primary elements of industrial vision systems.

Vision camera

Profilometry is a technique based on the triangulation between a laser and a matrix camera which continuously acquires the laser line projected onto the surface and allows its three-dimensional reconstruction. This technology can be applied in an industrial environment for reliable detection of single objects against the background, identification by matching with 3D CAD and high-resolution detection of defects present on scanned objects.

When there is a need to read the barcode or writing imprinted on the products online, it is necessary to design the vision systems for the area to be framed. This is obtained by using special optics or by installing several vision systems that insist on the same area, coordinated by special software for the aggregation and overall image reconstruction and decoding of 1D, 2D and OCR codes.

Through the use of chambers, the system recognizes the rusks produced and to be discarded that do not fall within the previously set parameters.

Through a camera system that measures the size of the pre-set hooks, it is possible to verify the alignment and consistency with the desired and pre-set parameters.

Tire defects detection on tire is obtained using laser profilometry for scanning all the surfaces of the tire, inside and outside, special algorithmics to obtain the 3D reconstruction of the surfaces and sophisticated software, that use  Artificial Intelligence and Neutral Network,  to detect defects.

Automatic reading of characters and symbols on the surface of the tires, obtained using laser profilometry for scanning and 3D reconstruction of the surfaces, and deep OCR software for decoding the characters and pattern matching techniques for symbol verification, makes the Lettering machine a very useful tools for tire producer.

Machine for checking the correct Tire and Wheel assembly, suitable for combining the First Set of Tires for car. The scanning of the Tire and the OCR of the DOT code allow to identify the tire, while the acquisition of the image of the Wheel and its classification (shapes, models and foreseen colors) allow to identify the right wheel. Laser 3D profilometry, to scan the tire, and color RGB cameras, to acquire the image of the wheel, are the technologies used on this machine.

Quality control of the pneumatic bead assembly, carried out by in-line laser profilametry during the assembly phase of the rubber on the metal bead. The check verifies the correct joining of the two ends of the rubber part and the uniform distribution of the rubber on the circumference of the metal bead.
