TOGETHER TO INNOVATE TYRE INSPECTION
We are proud to announce the collaboration between Tekna Automazione e Controllo, Rockwell Automation and Prometeon Tyre Group, with the shared goal of taking automation and machine vision technology to the next level in tyre inspection and quality control processes.
This collaboration is the result of a journey built by Tekna over the years through the development and commercialization of advanced systems for the automated inspection of defects in PCR – Passenger Car Radial tyres.
This expertise has now been further developed and applied to a new and important market segment: TBR – Truck & Bus tyres, where high-volume production and increasingly demanding requirements for quality, reliability and consistency call for advanced inspection technologies.
It is in this context that Tekna’s experience meets Rockwell Automation’s expertise in industrial automation and digital transformation, together with Prometeon’s deep knowledge of tyre manufacturing processes and its strong position in the global Truck & Bus tyre market.
The result is a solution designed to automatically detect and classify tyre anomalies, making inspection processes more reliable and repeatable, while transforming inspection data into valuable information to support quality management and continuous improvement in production.
From PCR experience to TBR technology: this project is not only another important milestone, but above all a demonstration of our ability to transfer our know-how, technology and machine vision expertise across different segments of the tyre industry.
It is also a clear example of how innovation is created by bringing together complementary capabilities: machine vision, data analytics, industrial automation and in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes.
